CSO officers move into North Shore community policing office

CSO office on the move

The City of Kamloops’ community services division has moved most of its in-person services from Mission Flats Road to the North Shore community policing office.

According to the city, the move is part of an ongoing effort to offer more streamlined services, with the North Shore office providing better accessibility and easier parking for residents.

Tammy Blundell, community services manager for the city, said in a statement the main goal is to better support customers and staff.

“We will evaluate the impact of this change to ensure a positive experience,” Blundell said.

Residents can access the community services division at the North Shore community policing office as of Monday.

Residents can use the North Shore community policing office to pay for dog licensing and pick up tags, pay in-person for parking tickets or other bylaw violations, rent bike lockers and receive parking permits or dispute fines.

The North Shore community policing office is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., year-round.

The Mission Flats location will continue to offer some services to the public by appointment, with residents able to pick up lost dogs, lost or seized property, or book an animal cremation at the facility.

Residents can continue to pay for dog licences and tickets or fines at city hall or online.
