ISO 27001:2022 transition challenges and how to use ISO 27002 Matthew Peers from IT Governance Ltd once again offers his practical expert insight, this time into ISO 27001:2022 transition challenges. Also, I love how he refers to ISO 27002: the “good ideas book” :) As Matthew explained: “If you’re struggling with how to implement a given control, look at the guidance in ISO 27002. We are seeing increased fraudulent activity where businesses are receiving either phone calls or emails from people pretending to be suppliers and giving them false information. They are saying that rates are going up and that they will get someone else to call them to arrange a new contract. About 10 minutes later, an agent calls and tries to get a new deal agreed.  The new offer will always be with an alternative supplier and is a scam. Please share this information with any business owners you know, so that they are aware of this. Contact your broker or supplier if you are unsure about anything. Please note, I work with a genuine broker who will find you the best available prices, so if you are coming towards the end of your contract or looking to renegotiate within the next 6 months, please get in touch.
