How to Build a Culture of Quality

September 21 | 1:00 - 2:30 pm EST

As development cycles speed up and teams adopt DevOps, quality assurance’s role in testing right before production is not sustainable. While there are plenty of strategies - shift-left, continuous testing - to keep up, it’s difficult to understand which will help you democratize testing and more deeply integrate quality into development. In this workshop, you’ll learn the three pillars key to building a culture of quality and take away a roadmap to guide you towards a strategic role managing quality across your team.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Create a roadmap for culture shift
  • Set-up and update tool stacks and automation frameworks
  • Define a step-by-step customized timeline

Building and Scaling A Functional Test Automation Strategy

September 22 | 1:00 - 2:30 pm EST

Application development cycles are continually accelerating, and testers must be lightning-fast to ensure software quality. Further, there are numerous approaches to testing, making it challenging to know when to begin and how to prioritize strategies. In this workshop, you’ll create an automated testing strategy for a greenfield application. And if your team is just getting started with test automation, this workshop will help you ask critical questions about your application to help you quickly scale.

Participants will learn how to:

  • How to approach a quality strategy by prioritize your testing scenarios
  • Break down test scenarios and cases in automated testing
  • Map and identify testing gaps across your application

Understanding the QE Metrics That Matter

September 23 | 1:00 - 2:30 pm EST

QA teams are faced with an overwhelming amount of data, all while teams are migrating to DevOps. From test results, sprint tracking, deferral rates, to bug density, it’s difficult to make sense of it all - let alone be able to track and community QA’s effectiveness. In this workshop, you’ll learn what are the right metrics to showcase the work of your team, and create a roadmap for expanding your metrics pack to showcase your impact on your user’s experience in the product, and ultimately your company’s success.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Identify the right KPIs and metrics for your team
  • Understand where to look for the right data
  • Align QA performance metrics with company goals
