A mobile app that offers learning pathway and career guidance to self-learners in the disciplines of IT, Software Engineering and Computer Science. Given a user's interests in a pathway, such as Web/Mobile Development, or Data Science and Machine Learning, the mobile app takes the user through a step by step through the technical skills he/she should learn (i.e.: basic concepts, languages, frameworks, tools) and makes recommendations based on which skills are most in demand in the job market. It also provides the user with curated external learning resources. Afterwards, the app helps the users find employment, relevant to the user's areas of expertise/interest and skills.

The solution consists of a server web application and cross platform mobile application, built using Spring Boot and React Native respectively. It also employs data mining in Python on job market data to find skills which are of high demand, and Neo4j Graph Database to store data. At present, there are many enterprise solutions which offer point of sales, inventory, and stock control management systems. However, as a small or medium scale restaurant or cafe owner, spending lots of money on purchasing such systems with high-initial costs and complex infrastructure may not be a viable solution for a SME with limited financial resources. Yet, careful tracking of Food Expiry remains an important task; as mentioned before, it can not only result in financial loss, but in the event of serving food prepared using expired ingredients, or expired beverages can result in an unrecoverable reputation loss, as well as result in food-poisoning related health hazards, which can further result in huge fines. Such a travesty, can cause a small scale restaurant to go bankrupt. Hence, here-in lies the unique value proposition of our cost effective and convenient food expiry tracking system.

The hardware component is made up of a NodeMCU IoT board + NFC module, and it connects to a Native Android Mobile app using Java, and uses Firebase for database persistence and real-time database triggers. Show less
