This is a big week for Gabby Windey. No, not just because the season finale of The Traitors airs tomorrow — but because the reality TV star and podcast host officially hard-launched her marriage to her partner, comedian Robby Hoffman.

In a March 5 interview with Cosmopolitan, the beloved couple sat down to discuss eloping in Las Vegas earlier this year after evacuating the Los Angeles fires — and how they realized that “if the world is ending, we want to be with each other.”

After waking up in Los Angeles to the smell of smoke in early January, Windey and Hoffman turned to each other and grabbed their most precious possessions — their cat, a grandfather’s paintings, childhood keepsakes, and of course, Windey’s podcasting equipment. “I’m like, ‘If everything burns down, I have a contract’” — and hit the road. What was originally supposed to be a trip to Palm Springs quickly turned into a road trip to Las Vegas. And the rest is history.

“It looked like a wedding suite,” Hoffman said of arriving in their Vegas hotel room. “Gabby turned to me and she went, ‘Should we get married?’ And look: I’ve been proposing since the day I met her.”

Per their interview with Cosmopolitan, Hoffman immediately swung into action. She had a friend make a crossword puzzle (an important part of their daily routine), with the answers spelling out “WILL YOU MARRY ME, GABBY?” Gabby said yes, and then the couple was engaged for one whole day before walking down the chapel aisle to “HOT TO GO!” by Chappell Roan. And in typical Gabby fashion, she wore an off-white lace dress that made her “butt look huge.”

“When something feels right, it just feels right,” Windey said. “We had no expectations. We just had love and openness,” Hoffman added.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
