New Pilatus PC-24 buyers can now choose to have the AVANCE L3 inflight wifi solution from Gogo installed at the factory. The type joins the PC-12 NGX in holding STCs for installation and Pilatus offering as a line-fit solution to customers.
Pilatus’ selection of Gogo AVANCE L3 is a great step forward with a valued partner who recognizes the value of our software-centric AVANCE platform and the reliability and performance of the Gogo network. The AVANCE L3 enables a customized experience to best fit customers’ needs based on the number of passengers and the online experience they desire.
– Mark Sander, vice president of OEM sales for Gogo
In addition to general internet access the AVANCE L3 platform supports Gogo Text & Talk, allowing for text messaging and voice calls while in flight. The L3 platform also includes Gogo Vision featuring entertainment and news including the latest Hollywood films, hit television programs, business programming from Bloomberg TV, and 30 leading magazine titles in digital format.
Tom Aniello, vice president of marketing for Pilatus, is keen on the platform, “Inflight Wi-Fi has become one of the most important features requested by our customers, and based on the performance our PC-12 operators have enjoyed, it was an easy decision for us to add it as an option from the factory for the PC-24.”
Gogo recently announced it reached the 1,000 aircraft installed milestone for the larger AVANCE L5 platform and that AVANCE L3 neared 450 aircraft fitted. With the PC-24 now available (and the SmartSky network activation further delayed to 2021) expect the L3 numbers to continue their rise.
