AMMAN — The Senate, represented by Senators Mustafa Barari and Khaled Abu Al Ezz, participated in meetings concerning the establishment of the forum of Shura Councils and other similar councils in the Islamic world, held in Bandung, Indonesia.
In remarks during the event, which concluded on Wednesday, Barari said that "enhancing cooperation among the Shura Councils of the Islamic world has become a necessity for addressing global challenges", according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. "The forum could offer an excellent opportunity for legislative bodies and Shura Councils to build a solid base of opinion, reflective of national, regional, and international requirements, as well as to create initiatives, visions, and programmes to address the political, economic, and social challenges facing the Islamic world," he added.
