Women have been told what to say and not to say for centuries. If we remain silent, how will things ever change? Who will advocate for us to use our voice to speak up if we don’t? When we are afraid to use our voice, all women suffer. When we fail to stand together against those who use their positions of power to silence us, we fail ourselves and each other. In the US: ❌Only 30% are female state legislators ❌ Only 27% are female Congresswomen ❌Only 18% are female State Governors ❌ 0% of women have held the office of the presidency It can be changed. It takes being brave even when you don’t feel brave. It takes a willingness to show up even when you aren’t sure what to say. It takes being ok with not having all the answers. Do it anyway. Be bold for yourself. Be bold for all women. Refuse to be silenced, put down, or condemned for speaking up. Support other women who do and are willing to try.

We have so many cultural norms that are taught to use from the start as women. It's difficult to let those go! Thank you for your support of all of us Dr. Stacey Gonzales

I see it as discrimination = differences The difference between gender equality is equal and directly proportional to the level of discrimination present in the society. *Isn't it look like a mathematical equation*🙄

Dr. Stacey Gonzales We sure do need to speak up so our voices are heard. We have to speak up when we are uncomfortable. I got a message that said only "Hey dear" this week from a man I don't know. Instant YUCK. Theyn he followed up with "Hey." No, I am not obligated to talk to you because you messaged me. We're done here. And that is minor in comparison to the treatment women endure.

We just talked about this Mariah Edgington, how women are acculturated in this society, and how they (you) concern yourselves with the feelings & needs of other people, and only then your own.
