The next generation of antenna technology will open significant new in-flight WiFi opportunities, both for airlines and service providers. And, after years of broken promises, these technologies appear finally ready to take flight.
Certainly this transition will be a boon for some players. Starlink appears well positioned, with two new airline contracts announced and commercial service entry anticipated before the end of the year. But for other providers the outlook is much more of a mixed bag as airlines leverage increased options to shift their business.
