This week I've had a fabulous time at PRWeek UK's PR360 conference in Brighton. It was a privilege to sit on a panel with Samsung's Lindsay Landi and Plum's Rajan Lakhani to talk about the impact of AI on PR and communications. Some interesting perspectives from Lindsay and Rajan, with lots of great questions from the audience. The panel was ably chaired by Danny Rogers. Thanks to Elena Bushe for the invitation to speak. There were lots of excellent speakers. My favourite panel of the two days was the discussion on how corporate communications is changing in a world of distrust. Chaired by PRWeek's Siobhan Holt we heard from Danone's Louis Blake, Admiral Group's Addy Frederick, McLaren Racing's Saskia Wirth and Airwallex's Fergus C.ampbell. Another highlight was Cision's Antony Cousins talk on AI-powered communications. Other great talks on the first day included: Holland & Barrett's Clare Stafford and Gusto's Natalie Jay on measurement; 72Point's Andy Rudd on the future of journalism and media relations; Lisa Hale from Specsavers on effective and innovative social media; Ocado Retail's Zoe Melarkey on running an in-house team; and the National Trust's Celia Richardson on the challenges of the culture wars. The second day had two standout sessions. The first was George Robinson, Three's head of government relations, on navigating the political playground in an election year. The second was the RSPB's Alex Try on the truly amazing Wild Isles campaign. It was impossible to leave this talk without being inspired. The round table sessions were terrible. Terrible in the sense they were too short and I wanted to attend more than one! All five topics were so interesting and important with great facilitators that it was hard to choose. I participated in the AI trends in PR panel with Ant Cousins, but it was a close call with the influencer marketing and social media panel with 72Point's Danielle Baird or sustainability comms with Chivas Brothers's Kate Power. Finally, I've got to thank the Cision team for the delicious pistachio ice cream on its stand. But my biggest thanks go to 72Point [client] for the barista who kept delegates fueled with amazing coffee. I wouldn't have survived the two days so well without it!
