The Ivors is one of the most loved and respected music awards.

The Ivors with Amazon Music celebrates songwriters and screen composers. It recognises the craft and achievements of outstanding music creators.

Presented by The Ivors Academy since 1956, each winner receives a hand-crafted Ivor Novello statuette and joins a roll call of greats that includes Adele, Stormzy, Cathy Dennis, Annie Lennox, Amy Winehouse, Dave, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Joan Armatrading.

Ivor Novello Awards are judged by acclaimed songwriters and composers from The Ivors Academy and awarded for craft and creative excellence. This peer recognition makes the awards so special and respected.

The Ivors with Amazon Music 2024 nominations announced

Nominations for The Ivors with Amazon Music recognise and celebrate outstanding songwriters and composers across eight categories – see who’s nominated for an Ivor Novello award below.

Winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony taking place at Grosvenor House, London, on Thursday 23rd May 2024.

Bruce Springsteen to become a Fellow of The Ivors Academy

The iconic US musician will become the first-ever international songwriter that the Academy has inducted into Fellowship in its 80-year history at The Ivors 2024.

One of the most influential and important songwriters of all time, Bruce Springsteen’s music has soundtracked the lives of millions across the globe. Often described as ‘the embodiment of rock & roll’, Bruce Springsteen’s recording career spans fifty years, beginning with 1973’s Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ and most recently in 2022 with Only the Strong Survive, his twenty-first studio album.

From a talented musical family (her older brother is Mercury-nominated rapper Berwyn), she’s already collaborated with – and been championed by – Rachel Chinouriri. If a rising star can be judged by the company he keeps, then Elmiene is destined for truly great things. The soulful singer-songwriter has already collaborated with Stormzy, Sampha and James Vincent McMorrow, while Louis Vuitton used Elmiene’s song Golden to soundtrack one of its shows. And you can expect the Oxford native to attract plenty of other admirers too, as refreshingly modern R&B tracks such as Someday and Remember will surely become good friends to anyone who appreciates top quality songwriting.

You can’t call yourself Master Peace without backing it up and – rest assured – Peace Okezie’s songwriting lives up to its billing. His music is an eclectic grab bag of influences – from funk to punk, grime to indie rock – while Peace’s boundless energy and the unfiltered lyrics on anthems such as I Might Be Fake and Shangaladang have helped him win over a whole Peace Corps of devotees, including The Streets’ Mike Skinner. No wonder the world is now waiting for a career full of Master Peace masterpieces.

Nino SLG is brewing up something special. He grew up on gospel music, but makes hip-hop. His rapping is fierce but his lyrics are always poetic and socially conscious. And he is surely the only musician to ever be supported by both Stormzy – who dubbed him an artist to watch last year – and Twinings tea, which used Prison Walls on an ad campaign. And with consummately executed songs such as House Invasions and LSOM, expect Nino SLG to soon be everybody’s cup of tea.
