We are thrilled to be one of the first companies in the world to be offering our customers a unique and immersive experience on the Apple Vision Pro. Shop through our products in 3D, take a step INTO one of our tents and take a look around. Open a cargo bike right in front of you and look at it through all angles! The experience is really worth a try and another step in our commitment to innovate in the world of sport today. The Apple Vision Pro will first be launched in the United States. What comes next is bound to be exceptional. We are pushing the limits of the traditional sports brand experience. Have a smart idea for how we could further integrate Decathlon onto the Apple Vision Pro? Let me know down below! #Decathlon #AppleVisionPro #Innovation #Digital #DigitalInnovation #DecathlonLinkedIn
This looks like an innovation challenge project that big corporates launch to show they engage in innovation, that actually might not serve useful value but serves the corporation to state they are offering new customer experiences through cutting edge tech. So now people visiting Decathlon will wear Apple vision pro to get virtual buying experiences in physical stores or Decathlon somehow expects regular budget consumers that are Decathlons target will own a $4k headset that is not even designed for consumers to own these at home and then use Decathlon app to order through it? Who comes up with these ideas? Or Decathlon is simply riding on Vision Pro wave to show they themselves are innovating?
Sometimes innovation is just about seeing the familiar from a new angle. This is so exciting to promote sports and fitness to people without even bringing them to the malls or stores.
Let the product scan the room and identify where and how people can exercise, without buying anything new. Lift the milk carton. Sit on the couch but upside down. Make a handstand to the wall. For a healthy life we need less stuff, not more...
It's fascinating to observe large retail entities such as Decathlon embracing immersive spatial experiences. However, it's important to point out that technologies enabling the visualization of products in a real space, allowing customers to walk through or around them, are already available. Such experiences do not necessarily require specialized hardware like the Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest; a simple smartphone is enough. Technologies like WebAR make this possible. This is why, at 4th.vision, we specialize in creating these types of experiences. This raises the question: why haven't large retailers like Decathlon incorporated these more accessible technologies for most of their products? Have I missed an announcement, or is there a specific reason for this choice? Often, the challenge with adopting these technologies lies in the creation and management of 3D models, which is a vital aspect that retailers like Decathlon need to address to provide truly immersive experiences for their shoppers.
Congrats to a good start on #visionpro. This looks like a promising step towards the future. We at imaginary institute are convinced of the opportunities for retail and are working on tools and guides to help people create more immersive experiences. Interesting! Congratulations to the team. 👌🏽

Respect to the Decathlon team who worked so hard on their v1, but for me the initiative prompts reflection. Surely we must go beyond repackaging old experiences, is this any better than VRML in a browser in the Noughties? I would rather we are pushing to create unique, impactful moments that truly enhance our lives. I can’t wait to see when we have a genuine breakthrough use case for the Vision Pro
It was great to lead this project with such an incredibly talented team ! Can’t wait to show what we are working on 🤩

3moI'm curious to see what impact it will have. Will the #avp change the "I can take my phone and put the 3D object in my living room" experience?
