Call for Participation

If you think you have something great to talk about – submit your idea! If you are unsure, talk it over with somebody.

When in doubt, submit your talk 😉!

Session Types

There will be two types of session at DjangoCon Europe:

  • Talks: These will be 30 minute talks on a variety of topics, presented from the main stage.
  • Workshops: These are intended as deeper dives into topics. They will be presented in a classroom style, and can either be presented as longer talks, or as interactive sessions where attendees will follow along on their laptops. By default, workshops will be 50 minutes, but longer sessions of 110 minutes are available.

Topics

  • Django internals and challenges in modern web development.
  • Wild ideas, clever hacks, surprising or cool use cases.
  • Improving Django and Python developers’ lives.
  • Pushing Django to its limits
  • Fundamentals, in a modern light.
  • The Django and Python community, culture, history, past, present & future, the why the who and the what of it all
  • Security
  • Whatever you deem appropriate – it's your conference, after all!

You may think that your idea is not suited to DjangoCon Europe, or that you couldn't possibly present it well, or that others will do it better. We want to prove you wrong. Read Sasha's blog post on why you should speak at DjangoCon Europe! This blog post still holds true 8 years later.

If you would like to ask a question, you are always welcome to email the content committee: content@djangocon.eu

Please read the Speaker Guide before submitting your talk.

Talks must follow the guidelines set out in the event Code of Conduct

The deadline is 26th February 23:59:59 anywhere on Earth

Don't include any personally identifiable information in your proposal. Your proposal will be anonymised by a member of the content team anyway, but it makes more work for us!
