How to use #LLM to get better ideas.

When I did my One Hour Startup project back in January (link in the first comment), the first question I asked ChatGPT was “What are the steps for building a startup?”, and the first step in ChatGPT’s answer was “Idea Generation”. Then I asked ChatGPT to start with this step, and give me ideas for innovative products or services. People were skeptic that an AI chatbot could come up with any useful ideas, but I was surprised by the quantity and quality of those ideas, and eventually took idea #26 and asked ChatGPT to go through the whole cycle of building a startup around it. This month a new study was released, showing that ChatGPT can come up with better ideas than top students in an innovation class. I am not surprised! #ChatGPT #GenerativeAI #AICreativity

Educational institutions across the globe are going to have to grapple with the evolving challenges posed by rapidly advancing AI models. This is a pretty remarkable finding given GPT-3 launched in the summer of 2020 and GPT-4 launched in the spring of 2023. Inevitably, the time between future releases will lessen - not just for LLM models like GPT but all AI models - which will make jumps in AI systems’ capabilities more frequent and jarring. There is a lot to be excited about for the future, but there is a whole lot to grapple with as well. The world of academia is vastly underprepared to address the challenges AI poses in the classroom. Currently, there are no safeguards in place to prevent students from using AI to write their essays/papers, (AI detectors produce very poor results), to write their code, or to do their problem-solving in problem sets. These issues need to be addressed otherwise critical lessons in the learning process may be hampered. In fact, this situation also jeopardizes/calls into question the modern grading system. I am all for embracing the benefits AI can bring to the classroom, but I am also concerned about AI’s obvious impact on learning outcomes/performance in the classroom (I.e. cheating becomes remarkably easier).

Startups can seize this moment to distinguish themselves and carve out their own success stories.

Here's the TOP disadvantage: As a large language model, ChatGPT is designed to give you a median answer. Instead of median you could also say "average," "mediocre," or "middle of the road". Copying your competitors is the opposite of strategy. ChatGPT is an interesting service, but it's not a replacement for the fundamentals of strategic thinking and decision-making. Does this also signal in for various entrepreneurs is that if you’ve made a successful startup in the past, it’s very likely you’ll get funded rather soon and from the same VC firm Here’s for the new Bharat, this AI engine is poised to change the AI regionally

He was the president of Y Combinator, a prominent startup accelerator, and he has been involved in various successful ventures.
