About

As a validation expert and product owner at Rabobank for over the past two years, I have explored and (in)validated value propositions for the Carbon Bank, Energy Transition, and Consumer & Mortgage departments. I work on measures such as increasing the water level of peatlands with dairy farmers to reduce CO2 emissions, developing small-scale housing projects on farms to solve the housing crisis, and on providing insights to farmers into the impact of CO2 emission reduction and sequestration measures via a calculator, lastly I work on a proposition that allows customers to estimate their (sustainable) renovation costs. I apply customer development, lean startup, and design thinking methodologies to test and refine solutions that create value for customers and the environment.

In addition to my role at Rabobank, I am also the founder and chairman of Progress Foundation, an NGO that connects pioneers and founders and lets them share what works and what doesn't. Since 2012, I have founded and run various initiatives under Progress Foundation, such as Startup Foundation, Startup Academy, Startup Chat, Startup Curated, Startup Deals, and our coworking space; Progress Bar Rotterdam. I have contributed and spoken at various events and organizations, such as Online Tuesday, Leanconf, Barclays, NRC Moonshot, and the Lean Startup Conference.

I am intrigued by the advancements that have been made, and am keen to make sure I contribute to the ones we will make in our generation. I love meeting the pioneers who continue to inspire me with their progress, and I have made it my mission to support them either way I can.
