How do you coach junior testers to build a strong team?
I feel these are some ways to encourage them: - Promote any good stuff by them. (Good stuff in general spreads fast automatically irrespective of any push, however, a push always helps). - Organize Bugathons / Testathons (Create opportunities for new testers to really “test”). - Volunteer for pair testing sessions. I have done it with many testers. Some were junior, some were seniors. I learned in both. - Pair learning exercises. - Sessions / Talk on how to brand yourself as a tester. - Guidance on how to create/organize/structure a portfolio.

What are the most effective ways to ensure quality and standards in test automation code?
I feel that testers should ask questions to there stakeholders. Here is my list of context free questions for automation projects: What is the development methodology? What is the sprint duration? By when would we ideally get the test build? What is the dev technology of the app to be tested? Is there any existing automation solution? Do we have any budget for procuring tools? (some automation tools might not be free). What is the current team’s tech expertise? What is the current team’s available bandwidth? What is the team composition? Do we have a separate automation team? How testable is the app? Can the developer help us in making the app more automation-friendly? Can we discuss testability if we have not already discussed them yet?

How do you leverage test data automation frameworks to speed up test data creation and maintenance?
Other Key Considerations would include: 1. Professional Report 📟: Preferable format is HTML / SPA (Single Page Application). 2. Usage of Solid Principles 🔥 3. Support for Test Data Generation 📄: Ex: Faker, jfairy. You can develop custom and dynamic data generation libraries 4. Proper Exception Handling 5. Leverage Libraries to boost readability 🔎: Ex: Fluent Assertions. 6. Ability to integrate with CI/CD/CT ⏩: Ex: Jenkins, GitHub, Gitlab CI, etc. 7. Metrics & Tracking 💹: Add support for basic test metrics such as traceability of scripts with test cases on ALM Tool. 8. Configurable 🧭: To provide a high degree of flexibility and customization, while still being easy to use and maintain, making them powerful and effective.

How do you leverage test data automation frameworks to speed up test data creation and maintenance?
Here is the list of 10 key considerations that I use for designing a test automation framework: 1. Extendable 🤝 2. Maintainable ✅ 3. Usage of Relevant Design Patterns ⚔️ 4. Support for Running it on 📦: (i) Docker (ii) Cloud (iii) VM / Local Machines 5. Containerizable 🎛️: Ex: Docker. This makes it easier to share, collaborate, and distribute your test solutions eventually. 6. KISS 🤩: Keep it simple stupid. No overcomplicated things. 7. Updated Documentation 📃: Any solution is as good as its documentation. 8. Clean Coding 🧑🏼💻 9. AAA Pattern for Scripting 🖨️:It involves breaking down the test into three distinct phases: (i) Arrange (ii) Act (iii) Assert.

Heuristics for Effective Public Speaking
Leanpub
Public speaking is an art, a skill that can be learned like most of the skills. Preparation is the key. While every talk might not be a hit, it definitely will not be a disaster if certain heuristics are followed. We have tried to cover those heuristics. Always remember that there is always scope for improvement.

Rahul is a passionate learner. In fact, his passion for learning is highly infectious. Name the testing event worth noting and you shall find Rahul either attending it, participating in contests, or being part of the event/activity itself. Rahul is one of its kind tester we came across this year who is so eager to read, learn new things about testing and who does not stop right there. He also makes sure to share his learning with the community at the large.
In the year 2021 alone, Rahul has published 8 e-books through which he further shares his own learning from various sources.
In the year 2021 alone, Rahul has won 12 testing competitions and hackathons.
In the year 2021 alone, Rahul has actively contributed to organizing various testing events.
It requires an uncommon amount of passion for the craft of testing, a will to excel, and inspire others to do the same by leading through an example. Rahul is a rising star and we would like to see more testers like him taking the craft of testing ahead.
Congratulations Rahul. Thanks you for your work and we wish to see you rising even higher. -
