Xavori the Miner
I was doing a little spelunking
in the mine outside of Minoc, just minding my own business, when
one of the smith's unfairly accused me of being a thief. Needless
to say, I was much offended since I had been minding my own
business and the silly game made me say, "I failed to
steal" after I had already gotten his shield and was trying
to get a new helm. Being totally innocent, I immediatly took off
running. Not only did the selfish smith come charging after me,
but all the other miners around as well. Then, as we we're
running through the tents, he shouted, "Stop, thief"
Since I'm not a thief (I'm a rogue--important difference), I kept
running. Two fighters who had been in deep discussion about
nothing joined in the chase. I started using my hiding skill
while running hoping against hope for a success and praying no
one in the lynch mob had detect hidden skills. Finally, it kicked
in and I stopped running. The posse fanned out looking for me.
This was incredibly inconvienent since I was forced to stand
still behind the tree while they wandered everywhere trying to
find me. Deciding that I wanted to explore some more [backpacks],
I dug through my pack and grabbed my bright purple robe and
purple wizards hat. Donning them, I stepped out of the shadows
and casually strolled by the first smith. He looked flustered, so
I asked, "What seems to be the trouble?"
"Looking for some punk who
stole my shield," he replied.
I nodded, and said,
"Stupid thieves. Prolly just some thirteen year old kid up
past his bedtime."
"Ya, it probably was. Man
I hate that."
"Well, I hope you find
him," I said and strolled off.
