Scottish Games Week 18-22 November 2024

Welcome to Scottish Games Week 2024

Since we founded Scottish Games Week 2022, our goal has been simple, to bring Scotland’s games ecosystem together and give the global games community a reason to come to Scotland.

Our approach has always been open, inclusive and engaging. We don’t want to replicate other games events, but find new and different ways to showcase and highlight the incredible creative talent working across Scotland. We want to create a programme of events which includes everyone involved in games, from primary schools to politicians, from streamers to students, from developers to publishers and beyond.

For SGW24 we are taking a new approach. We have a central ‘hub’ at the incredible Advanced Research Centre (ARC) at Glasgow University. Rather than programme everything, we are looking for partners who want to run their own events, bring together their own communities, special interest groups and build an entire week of incredible games-related content.

The core events which are unique to Scottish Games Week will remain part of the programme: The Scottish Games AwardsThe Education SymposiumGAMES.SCOT at the Scottish Parliament and our flagship More Than Games event will give the rest of Scotland the opportunity to find out how games are changing the world.

The rest – is up to you!

We need partners and sponsors to bring this year’s event to life. This year we have a simplified sponsorship structure, which gives sponsors and partners presence across the entire week-long programme of events and the opportunity to directly contribute to the creation of the SGW24 programme.

We believe that this new approach gives us the opportunity to do something unique, bring the whole games community across Scotland a new way to communicate, collaborate and make something even more valuable (and FUN!)

We’re looking forward to working with you.
