The program for the day contained several speakers and workshops covering topics from healthy meal planning to container gardening and ethical shopping. The day attracted residents as well as service providers from around the country.

My role - I helped organise and coordinate several of the speakers and sessions on the day, I helped manage the projects budget and created, any of the promotional flyers and posters.

Their existing website had been in existence for nearly six years and the company felt it was time to create a new, more flexible website to serve their two separate Australian and New Zealand branches as well as to allow for future feature expansion into responsive design and ecommerce features for warranty and extras retail. The site was built in Drupal 7 with Domain Access to handle the different territory sites and some custom code to handle the businesses peculiar product catalogue.

My role - I was involved in initial scoping discussions with the client, assessing their needs and requirements. I wireframed the project and created a technical specification for our development team. During development I managed task allocation, testing and liaising with the client to inform them when features were ready for testing, talking them through training and handling bug reports to pass back to our team.

In our first year we had talks on phonegap, appcelerator titanium, kendo ui, jquery mobile and more. As we start our second year, we have nearly 200 members and have gained two new…
