After first hitting the market over two years ago, Frank Lloyd Wright's 1909 J. Kibben Ingalls House in suburban River Forest is still up for grabs. Similar to Wright’s slow-to-sell Avery Coonley House in Riverside, Illinois, the Ingalls property has recently knocked $100k of its price. Now listed at $899,000, the home has come down considerably from its $1,325,000 ask back in early 2015.

Crafted in the architect’s signature Prairie School style, the home features many quintessential Wright features such as low-hanging gables and art glass windows. The property features four bedrooms, two baths, and a kitchen that while not original, meshes well with the rest of the home’s walls and millwork.

While owning an FLW home can often times be a labor of love requiring ongoing repairs and a lot of red tape, the J. Kibben Ingalls House just got a little more attractive with the latest price cut. Could 2017 be the year the notable historic home finally finds a new steward?
