Leading letterbox florist Bloom & Wild has worked with architects and graphic designers to reimagine seven famous landmarks using biophilic design — and the final results are stunning.

From the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Taj Mahal, the concept sees how creating healthy spaces can improve our physical and mental wellbeing. Covered in beautiful flowers, the reimagined buildings are more colourful and vibrant than before, providing a real feast for the eyes.

Take a look below...

The Eiffel Tower

France's famous landmark has been reimagined with beautiful blooms, including lavender and sunflowers.

Speaking about the biophilic design, Yaniv Peer, director at Iguana Architects, says: 'We kept the redesign simple by lining the grounds with lavender, the traditional flower of the French countryside.

'As you move up the tower, we placed shelves containing bunches upon bunches of sunflowers - France's second most-loved flower! Lavender also coats the staircase as well as the observation decks and the very top of the tower, producing a beautiful, purple floral statement.'

2

Statue of Liberty

In the redesign, the Statue of Liberty has been covered in moss, birch and sequoia trees, and grassy areas to represent the changing seasons in Manhattan.

'A spiral walkway was placed to add a touch of modernity to the statue,' adds Yaniv. 'A fountain has also been created in the statue's signature torch to signify a connection to America's great lakes and surrounding coastline.'

3

Sydney Opera House

One of the 20th century's most famous pieces of architecture, the Sydney Opera House has been given a new lease of life. Drawing inspiration from Australia's iconic landscapes, Yaniv wanted to represent the different facets of the countryside.

Explaining the design process, he adds: 'The classic shells have been redesigned to resemble Uluru, or Ayers Rock, with the dome-like exteriors taking inspiration from the Great Barrier Reef.'

Adorned in gorgeous green foliage, we love how the pyramids in Egypt have been reimagined.

'As you can see we covered the existing pyramid shape with lush greenery,' says Yaniv, explaining the idea behind the redesign. 'The sand dune reflected in the wave structure at the base of the pyramid was inspired by architect Chad Oppenheim's interpretation of the landscape.'

5

Sagrada Familia

The world's oldest construction project, Sagrada Familia was first started in 1882, but still hasn't been completed after being interrupted by the Spanish Civil War.

With a biophilic makeover, it now has geraniums and durantas encasing the church, as well as shards of red, orange and pink resembling the native flowers of Spain.

6

Taj Mahal

How pretty does the Taj Mahal look in this reimagined image? Draped in hanging plants, Yaniv and her team created an extensive network of water bridges to reflect the importance of water in Indian cultures.

Speaking about the design process, Yaniv adds: 'We redesigned the iconic pillars in the style of India's famous trail tree trunks, while sitting on top of the pillars are jungle geranium or Ixora Coccinea.'

Beautiful flowers and bushes cover the famous suspension bridge in London, giving it added character and loveliness.
