“Tyler is one of the best engineers who I've ever had in my org. He is both a great learner and mentor; he produces countless articles, conference presentations, and internal talks and labs. He is also a voracious reader, and he shares all his learning from all these areas with everyone around him. Tyler is an extremely meticulous engineer. He delivers excellent quality with impeccable attention to detail even in demanding/auditable settings. Tyler leads the best sprint planning and scrum management I've yet seen in my career; you can count on a perfect sawtooth shaped burndown every sprint as work gets completed and newly refined tasks get pulled in. His quality and reliability stem from his being an industry-level expert in frontend code, particularly React. He has long mastered and fully internalized syntax and library knowledge, so his problem solving immediately resolves to optimal cases. He conducts excellent code reviews across the board including catching mistakes, redirecting approaches toward optimal scaling solutions, and teaching other engineers still coming up to that level. Tyler was an invaluable asset to my entire org, and he drove the direction of our company on several key initiatives--I can't say enough good things about him.”
