Her team focusses on building tools for developing responsible AI solutions that accelerate justice, protect truth, transform law enforcement in the field, and ultimately, save lives. Prior to joining Axon, Kate worked a Manager in Office 365, at Microsoft, where she lead a team focussing on creating privacy preserving datasets for machine learning. Prior to becoming a manager, Kate worked in several departments at Microsoft, including Microsoft Speech and Language (now Cognitive Services), Exchange, and Outlook online. Dr. Lamia Youseff is a computer scientist, a technology executive and a speaker and author, who has held leadership positions in Fortune-10 (Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook) companies and regularly speaks on AI/ML, cloud computing, digital transformation and management leadership around the globe.  She has tens of peer-reviewed publications, articles, several patents, and book chapters, as well as 5K+ academic citations.

Dr. Youseff earned her Ph.D. in computer science from UCSB before joining MIT as a Research Scientist, where she continues to be an affiliate with MIT CSAIL. She also holds a Master's degree in Business Management Sciences from Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). In 2011, she joined Google Cloud as engineer #12 to build and scale Google Cloud -- today a $26+ billion business. She then joined Microsoft Azure to work with F500 large-scale enterprise customers to migrate to the cloud, before joining Facebook to lead the ML platform program team (FBLearner), used by 5000+ ML engineers across Facebook products. Recently, she built a new large organization at Apple for Ads ML platform/Infra, MLops and Serving. Today, Dr. Youseff is a visiting research scientist at Stanford and is regularly a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) on digital transformation, Change Management and AI/ML.

Hugo is an award-winning designer, having been voted a top 40 graphic designer in North America. Having worked in digital media for over 15 years, Hugo leverages UX design, behavioural science, gamification, and design thinking to develop AODA/WCAG compliant websites, build authentic brand stories, and genuinely connect businesses to their consumers. He has collaborated with companies such as Deloitte Canada, the Bank of Montreal, Bell Canada, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Volkswagen and even Netflix.

As a Harvard graduate with a Master’s in Business Management, Hugo has leveraged his work in organizational behaviours to further drive engagement through his visual design work. As a life-long learner, Hugo is always curious to find new ways to adapt technologies to build collaborative solutions for organizations. Hugo is currently adopting design thinking principles to build a new data analytics curriculum for Hamilton Health Sciences senior leadership teams.

Being diagnosed with autism at an early age, Hugo has spent his life overcoming adversity and continuously learning new ways to interact with others and to share his views on autism. Living on the spectrum has given Hugo a unique perspective and his ambition is to help raise awareness and support for others living with autism.

Thomas Jeyaseelan, a graduate from the University of Berkeley, California with over 23 years, he's been in the technology industry in various capacities, software designer for over 13 years, and a managing for over 9 years. And currently, he's Director of Engineering at Microsoft.

Craig Borysowich has over 30 years of Technology Consulting experience with both public and private sector clients, including over ten years in Project Leadership roles. Craig has an extensive background in working with large-scale, high-profile systems integration and development projects that span throughout a customer’s organization. He has an extensive background in designing robust solutions that bring together multiple platforms from Intel to Unix to Mainframe technologies with the Internet.

Craig is also a Canadian technology startup accelerator/mentor - working with new companies and startups to produce viable business plans, create product roadmaps, connect with financiers, gain visibility in the market and drive a more valuable partner ecosystem that will generate sales. Craig has built and sold 4 of his own technology companies and has assisted in the development of over a dozen other startups in Canada.

Craig is also a professional speaker to small and large groups at corporate IT events, conferences and symposiums on IT trends and the future of technology in the enterprise related to EA, SOA and Service-Oriented Infrastructure concepts to help organizations create and broaden their IT vision.

Lisa Smith has over 20 years experience in the tech insurance industry, with her career leading to becoming the CEO of Tech-Insure Consulting, a boutique-style consulting company on insurance industry solutions. She is also more recently the CEO of Insurekore, the world’s first digital brokerage.
