The easiest way to get to $1mm in revenue is to build a business from your personal network. 📈 Here's what I mean: Founders are often well-connected people with a lot of industry and/or technical experience. Unfortunately, most first-time founders try to create something unique or something that *they* think should exist instead of focusing on what they could sell to their network first. But, the network-first route is the easiest way to $1mm in revenue assuming you have had a successful career. So, instead of trying to come up with something completely novel, think about what kind of service or product people in your network already spend money on. For example, if you know a lot of salespeople, you know they likely spend thousands of dollars each year on: - Travel - Software (CRM, documentation, outreach, etc) - Hiring/recruiting - Upskilling Pick one of those categories and ask 10 people in your network if they're unsatisfied with any of them. Figure out where there's a need and a budget, then go create a service that meets that need. From there, the road to $1mm in revenue is just about figuring out the right pricing and packaging because you already have the customers in your network. Thanks to Jared Gibson for giving me this realization yesterday. I always get inspired by our conversations! 😁
This is SO true!
Funny how that all works. It's how we made our first $100, too. Shoveling our neighbors drive-ways or raking their leaves. They were our network back then. Always great conversations. Dynamite drop by you yesterday with "If it gives you energy...prioritize it."
Great advice Karl Hughes! Leveraging your network’s needs and existing budgets is a smart path to scalable success. 🔥💡

4moLove this, Karl! Building from your existing network is such a smart approach. It’s all about finding where there's an unmet need within your circle and serving it. Thanks for sharing this insight—definitely a more practical way to hit that $1mm milestone!
