Accumulated maintenance tasks and issues within automated test suites that build up over time, often due to neglect will cause Test Debt. Like technical debt in software development, test debt occurs when minor fixes and updates are postponed. As changes are made to the app’s UI, functionality, or APIs, tests that aren’t updated accordingly may start failing unpredictably or give false results—these are called flaky tests. The more test debt builds up, the less reliable and efficient the test suite becomes, slowing development and increasing the risk of overlooking real issues. When we add an error message in the case of an exception, we need to wear the shoes of our customers. Most of them are non-technical. The error messages can be meaningful to you as a developer or QA engineer, but they can be Greek to the common end users. There is no use in showing error codes to the end users.
