MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Minerva Montooth celebrated her 100th birthday at the historic Riverview Terrace Café Saturday.

The café, also known as the Spring Green Restaurant, was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, whom Montooth worked closely with for over 10 years.

Montooth is the former social director and assistant to Olgivanna Lloyd Wright and wife of architect Charles Montooth, who also worked closely with Frank Lloyd Wright.

Celebrating the day with her loved ones, Montooth said she’s thrilled to be celebrating the occasion at a place so special to her.

“It’s home, it’s wonderful, I count myself as the most fortunate person in the world,” she said.

The Riverview Terrace Café was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places and designated a landmark by the Wisconsin Historical Society.
