Expliseat will launch a new version of its lightweight TiSeat, targeting the Embraer E-Jet family of aircraft. Air France signed as the launch customer, with the seats to be deployed on the carrier’s HOP! subsidiary beginning later this year.
This collaboration underlines Air France confidence in our technology and the commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for all passengers.
– Amaury Barberot, CEO of Expliseat
Expliseat combines titanium and composite fiber in its frames, delivering one of the lightest seating options on the market. The updated design, customized specifically for Air France/HOP!, promises to also deliver “significant improvement in seat robustness and sustainability with advanced comfort and design features.”
The seat will be formally unveiled in May at Aircraft Interiors Expo. Manufacturing will occur at the Expliseat factory in Angers, France, with installations expected to begin following the busy summer season.
