Free 16-week skills training

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving you the opportunity to build up games sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview.

You will be matched with a technical mentor based on the job you are aiming for. Using your personalised Skills Scorecards, you will discuss your current competencies and where you need to be at the end of 16 weeks. From this, you will be set work that helps you learn and hone the necessary skills.

You will attend group workshops every other week, tackling topics such as communicating your ideas, giving feedback to others, understanding your values, communicating your unique selling point and building your network. You will complete a Clifton Strengths analysis to understand the strengths you can offer employers.

Every four weeks we take a day to come together and work in a live production environment. Create work, make decisions rapidly, meet fellow creators and get feedback on what you have achieved – plus, learn how to balance the emotions that come with creating work you love to deadline.

If required, you'll work with our mindset coaches to improve your confidence, lift your ambitions, overcome barriers and find your purpose.

During your 16 weeks, you will work with your mentor and career coach to build real-world projects and improve your profile to get noticed by recruiters.

Find your first job with support to write your CV and LinkedIn, prepare your portfolio, get ready for interviews, and everything else that comes with a job search.

As part of Skills Bootcamps, we organise an interview for you with one of our partners. You’ll take everything you’ve learnt and present your best self to a potential employer.

Get ready for your new future in games.
