STATION SALES

Philadelphia – Edwin Andrade’s Voice Radio Network has filed a $950,000 deal to buy R&B “Jamz” WIFI (1460) from Miguel Amador’s Ritmo Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Trenton, NJ-licensed translator W253DG at 98.5 FM and the Burlington, NJ-licensed translator W224DJ at 92.2 FM. In a related deal, Voice Radio Network will pay an additional $90,000 to buy the Cherry Hill, NJ-licensed translator W253DG at 98.5 FM from Ritmo. It too simulcasts WIFI. Voice Radio Network will operate the stations under a time brokerage agreement until closing. It already owns seven stations in the Wilmington, DE and Salisbury-Ocean City, MD markets.

West Virginia – Hometown Media has filed a $375,000 deal to buy country “C-98” The Bull WCEF, Ripley, WV from Edward Baker’s Positive Alternative Radio. Hometown Media is a partnership among Clay Perkins, Clinton Perkins, and Brandon Northcraft. It does not own any other stations. Broker: Bryan Fowler, Fowler Media

Myrtle Beach, SC – Byrne Acquisition Group has filed a $250,000 deal to buy classic hits “Q-Rock Radio USA” WLSQ (1240) from Banana Jack Productions. The deal also includes the Loris, SC-licensed translator W294CW at 106.7 FM. John Byrne already owns three other stations in the Myrtle Beach market, including soft AC “Easy 105.9 & 100.7” WEZV/WYEZ, and “Talk 94.5” WTKN.

Louisiana – Spring Quest has filed a $125,000 deal to buy contemporary Christian “Miracle 89.1” KLFO-FM from Family Life Educational Foundation. The deal also includes the Shreveport, LA-licensed K214BE at 90.7 FM.

TRANSLATOR SALES

Louisiana – Gilberto Anthony Cerrato’s Power 102.1 FM LLC has filed a $70,000 deal to buy the Thibodaux, LA-licensed translator K279CU at 103.7 FM from George Laughlin’s Gap Broadcasting. Cerrato owns Baton Rouge, LA market Spanish-language station “Power 910” WUBR. Once the sale closes, Gap Broadcasting – which formerly had stations in 23 markets until selling 111 stations to Townsquare Media in 2010 – will own just a single AM: Spanish “La Calle” KTIB (640) in the New Orleans market.

Utah – Sanpete County Broadcasting has filed to swap the Salt Lake City, UT-licensed K221GK at 92.1 FM to Broadway Media in exchange for the Provo, UT-licensed translator K233DI at 94.5 FM. No cash will change hands as part of the deal. Broadway Media is already simulcasting “ESPN 700 Sports” KALL on the Sanpete-owned translator. Sanpete will simulcast the HD3 channel of modern rock “X-96” KXRK on the Provo signal. It relays KALL.

CLOSINGS

El Paso, TX – Relevant Radio has closed a $300,000 deal to buy KLPS (91.5) from Call Communications Group. KLPS is a construction permit for a Class C3 station. Once the sale closes, Call Communications Group will still own four religious FMs in Florida including WMFL (88.5) in Miami and WMYE (91.9) in Ft. Myers-Naples.

Morgantown-Clarksburg-Fairmont, WV – Greg Bolyard has closed a $70,000 deal to buy “K-Country 96.7” WKMM from the Marpat Corp. The deal includes a 10-year promissory note for the full purchase price. Bolyard does not own any other stations but he is currently the general manager of WKMM.

Chicago – Heartland Signal has closed a deal to buy talk WCPT (820) and ethnic WSBC (1240) from Newsweb for one dollar. Heartland Signal is the digital news site launched by Newsweb chairman Fred Eychaner. It has been working with Newsweb to air a progressive talk format on WCPT since 2021. Once the deal closes, Newsweb will still own ethnic “Polski FM” WCPY (92.7) and religious WNDZ (750) in the Chicago market.

North Carolina – David Ingles Ministries Church has filed a one dollar deal to buy a construction permit for a Class A station at 91.5 FM licensed to Aydlett, NC from Curritucksound Limited. David Ingles Ministries Church already owns noncommercial religious stations in Oklahoma, Missouri, Ohio, and Viriginia.
