Learning, coding, testing, teaching and igniting professional growth. That's my career in a nutshell. How do they fit together?

Well, it all started back in the 2000's with Pascal and Delphi. I spent my high school years building desktop apps and participating in all the contests and olympiads I could find. My main focus was educational software and I was lucky enough to get some national recognition. Using my knowledge I landed my first job as a software developer using C#, and then moved to backend development using Java.

When the opportunity of leading a small team of testers in parallel with development came, I took it. This opened my eyes to the brand new world of QA. I then took on managing quality in software for a much bigger organization, which started with a team of 10 QA engineers and grew to around 50. Spent the next 4 years heading the QA department across more than 15 projects. It gave me the opportunity to teach and guide my colleagues through their professional growth through manual and automated testing, while driving architectural decisions and development of test harnesses and frameworks.

Since then, I continued learning and leading teams both for QA and development. Using Python we built a payment integration app, using Scala, we augmented a betting system, and using Java, I built a no-code, keyword driven test harness for a banking application.

I took a sabbatical last year. It gave me enough headspace to focus more on teaching and giving back to the community through free content and online courses. So, if you need any help, especially around QA, please feel free to reach out! I'm always happy to lend a hand.
