E-Jet customers will soon be able to select seats from Recaro as part of their order from Embraer. The two companies announced the deal at the Paris Air Show last week, whereby Recaro’s SL3710 and BL3710 models will become part of Embraer’s Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE) catalog.
Our entrance into the regional jet market has generated great feedback and our seats now being featured in an SFE catalogue will help us take our customer support to the next level.
– Dr. Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating and Recaro Holding
The SFE program will kick off later this year, with plans to have the two seat models fully qualified by mid-2024. The two companies anticipate airlines and lessors will benefit from reduced lead times, particularly around certification, for the most popular short-haul and mid-haul models Recaro offers.

Developing the line-fit program for the SL3710 and BL3710 builds on Recaro’s first foray into fitting its seats on Embraer aircraft. That program was driven by KLM’s selection of the Recaro seats for its E190 and E195-E2 aircraft in 2020.
The seats were installed at the factory for KLM‘s E2 deliveries. Extending that offerability to Embraer’s catalog creates additional opportunities for airlines and eases the integration process for Recaro.
“Joining forces with Recaro Aircraft Seating means Embraer can offer more alternatives to our customers, making our products even more attractive,” noted Roberto Chaves, Chief Procurement Officer, Embraer. “This collaboration reinforces our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience and delivering unparalleled value to our clients. The Recaro seats add another dimension to our interiors, more choice and less weight for our customers, and more comfort and amenities for their passengers.”
Both the BL3710 and SL3710 models joining Embraer’s SFE catalog include in-seat power options. The BL3710 also offers a tablet holder and Recaro’s six-way headrest. The SL3710 features options for two different backrest angles.
The seats are also offered with a range of plastic and dress cover colors.
