Rosenzweig Stations Pass To Trust After Owner’s Death

The owner of three stations serving the Antelope Valley of Southern California died on February 7. As such, his daughter now holds her late father’s attributable interest in the properties.


Saul Rosenzweig was the sole trustee of the Saul and Carol Rosenzweig Living Trust, created in February 1984 by the controlling member of RZ Radio LLC.

That’s the licensee of KAVL-AM in Lancaster, Calif. and KTPI-AM & FM in Mojave, Calif.

Upon his death, the membership interests held by the trust in RZ Radio will be administered by his estate. Davy Rosenzweig, Mr. Rosenzweig’s daughter, is the executrix of Mr. Rosenzweig’s estate and will control RZ Radio.

Paperwork has been filed with the Commission by Wilkinson Barker Knauer attorney David Oxenford to effectuate the change.

The estate will control 50.5% of RZ Radio LLC, while “Coloma Mojave LLC,” associated with Oxnard-based Point Broadcasting LLC, retains 48.5% ownership interest.

Rosenzweig was involved in many venture capital business relationships, including as a General Partner of Rosetree Partners, a stock bond and venture investing group. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Harbor Wireless LLC, a holder of FCC 700 MHz licenses.

A graduate of Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Naval Science and a B.S. in Industrial Management, Rosenzweig was a retired Lt. ‘JG’ in the United States Naval Reserve.

He is remembered as aa collector of contemporary art, and as a fan of tennis, bridge, and playing his alto saxophone.
