As the Alaska Airlines 737 MAX fleet expands passengers can expect familiarity on board. The carrier will keep the interior common to the existing fleet, extending its partnership with seating supplier Recaro into the latest tranche of deliveries.
Guests love our new seats. From the adjustable footrest and cup holder in first class, to the conveniently placed charging ports and tablet holder in the main cabin, there so many thoughtful details in the seat design for everyone.
– Amber Simonsen, Director of Product Development & Delivery at Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines served as the launch customer for the Recaro CL4710 business class seat. That and the BL3530 economy class product will continue to fly on the company’s 737MAX planes. The next 13 MAX-9 aircraft, to be taken from lessors, will include the Recaro offerings on board.
I’m glad that Alaska has appreciated the quality of our robust CL4710 and BL3530 seats to select them on several different occasions. We are inspired by their mission to enhance the passenger journey while remaining committed to sustainable solutions.
– Mark Hiller, CEO and Shareholder at Recaro Aircraft Seating
Alaska Airlines holds orders for another 55 737 MAX 9 aircraft slated for delivery by the end of 2024. While not explicitly covered in this announcement expect that they will also arrive with the Recaro seats on board.

Hopefully they are more comfortable then the Recaro seats in my sports car.
