The Queen has appointed Paul Goldspring to be Senior District Judge (Chief Magistrate) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

He will be based at Westminster Magistrates’ Courts with effect from 1 March 2021.

Background Information

Paul Goldspring, aged 49, will be known as Senior District Judge Goldspring, (Chief Magistrate) for England and Wales. He was admitted to the Roll in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2009 and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2013.
