This will be the last public performance hosted by UTRF, as the organization is sunsetting as of October 31. As a thank you to all of the guests who have supported UTRF over the past 50 years, this concert will be offered FREE of charge.
THE COMING OF LIGHT
for Oboe, Baritone, and String Quartet
The Coming of Light is a composition commissioned in honor of the 2009 centennial of the dedication of Unity Temple, Frank Lloyd Wright’s modern masterpiece, by Unity Temple Restoration Foundation and The Chicago Chamber Musicians together with Winsor Music, Inc. The original score and concert were underwritten by Sidney K. Robinson.
A second modern composition by Igor Santos, as light becomes form, will be performed by Duo Diorama.
