🚨 Attention all North West-based Construction Contractors 🚨 The North West Construction Hub has opened applications to its Small Works Framework (Formerly run by Manchester City Council). Through this Framework, contractors have the chance to secure minor works projects with NW-based Councils, educational institutes, blue light organisations and other public authorities. With a significant pipeline of work (forecasted at £80 million over 3 years), the Framework offers a steady flow of projects awarded on a rotational basis, ensuring a fair share for all participating contractors subject to performance. To optimise engagement, NWCH are seeking to appoint 7-8 partners to the Framework, with a £1 million maximum value for each piece of work. This makes it an ideal opportunity for contractors of varying sizes and capabilities, and we have heard first-hand from the Hub that it is certainly an SME-friendly opportunity. So if you want to contribute to improving public sector facilities in the region and secure works amounting to an estimated £10 million, please contact us for more information. It's also worth noting that the Low-Value Works Framework for projects of £1-4 million is also due to be tendered this summer. We have heard first-hand from representatives of the Hub the key things that you can get in place to maximise your chances of success. So, with the launch date fast approaching, for advice on how you can start preparing for this now, please get in touch! 👋 #opportunity #engagement #frameworks

Section 3 Outreach and Certification for Affordable Housing Developers In the world of federally funded construction projects, Section 3 is more than just a regulatory requirement – it's an opportunity for positive community impact and economic empowerment. As a development company, you are more attractive for receiving federally-funded contracts with a good history of certified Section 3 workers and contractors on your project - but it can be very challenging to get people certified who may already be eligible, or to find people who are qualified in the skills you need. This is where a company like Labor Compliance Services can help. Understanding Section 3 Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 is a provision aimed at promoting local economic development, neighborhood revitalization, and individual self-sufficiency. It requires that recipients of certain HUD financial assistance provide economic opportunities to low- and very low-income individuals, particularly those living in the area where the project is taking place. The Challenge of Section 3 Compliance For construction developers, Section 3 compliance can be multifaceted. It includes the obligation to provide job training, employment, and contracting opportunities to eligible residents. While the intent is noble, the implementation can be complex, and ensuring compliance requires a deep understanding of the regulations. The Solution: Labor Compliance Services Labor Compliance Services specialize in Section 3 outreach and certification. They understand the nuances of the program and know how to navigate the intricacies to maximize its benefits for both the community and construction developers. How Labor Compliance Services Can Help: Customized Outreach Plans: Labor Compliance Services work with construction developers to create customized Section 3 outreach plans. These plans are tailored to the specific project and community, ensuring that the right opportunities are provided to the right individuals. Certification Guidance: Achieving Section 3 certification is a vital step in compliance. Labor Compliance Services guide construction developers through the certification process, ensuring that every requirement is met accurately. By customizing outreach, guiding certification, and keeping projects in line with regulations, Labor Compliance Services facilitate a win-win scenario – helping construction developers meet their obligations while creating opportunities for those who need it most and meeting the goals of agencies that award federal funding. CBRE launches development solutions platform for better project management International real estate consulting firm CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd, on July 6 announced the launch of a new data and technology-led development solutions platform under its Project Management (PJM) business line. “Many real estate projects do not get delivered because the builders have not got their financials right. This is a service that would advise these clients on financing, what to build, which format is likely to deliver higher returns, whether they should launch commercial, residential or retail projects, the price that the market will accept, procure project financing, and also get occupiers once the structure is complete. It would help manage the entire lifecycle of a project,” Anshuman Magazine, Chairman and CEO - India, South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE, told reporters. “With several tall buildings coming up in the country, there is a need for global expertise to design and construct such buildings. It involves increased costs and requires experts with knowledge of structural design," said Gurjot Bhatia, Managing Director, Project Management, India, Middle East, South-East Asia and North Africa, CBRE India. #business #technology #realestate #design #data #development #projectmanagement #project #consulting #projects #structural #developers #realtors #investors #investments #funding #newlaunches #construction #therealtynews #retail #cbre CBRE https://lnkd.in/dyMNqJ_r

With only 13% of Construction Project Managers in the UK under the age of 30, Construction as a sector is potentially facing a hiring crisis in years to come. Couple this with the fact that 60% of those currently working in Construction are 45 years of age or older, and we’re seeing the beginnings of a skill shortage forming in the sector without the right initiatives in place to effectively recruit and train those in the early stages of their careers.
