His radio stations are comprised of AM properties in the Richmond and Norfolk markets of Virginia; and in Chester, Pa., which covers both Wilmington, Del., and Philadelphia. He’s also operating an Atlanta AM via a lease agreement with Delmarva Educational Association.

Now, John Fredericks is expanding his group of conservative News/Talk properties by reaching a deal that brings two more AMs, and their respective FM translators.

Fredericks’ Disruptor Radio LLC is agreeing to acquire from Maryland Media One LLC the following properties:

  • Class D WXJX-AM 910 in Apollo, Pa., serving an area to the northeast of Pittsburgh and including Butler, Pa., and W254CH at 98.7 MHz in Latrobe, Pa.
  • Class B WCNS-AM 1480 in Latrobe, Pa., and W298DH at 107.5 MHz in Latrobe, due east of Pittsburgh.

Fredericks’ cost of entry into the suburban Pittsburgh market is $435,000, with a $22,500 escrow deposit being held by John C. Trent. Fredericks’ legal counsel is Davina Sashkin of Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP. Contracts with Crown Castle for the tower site lease are to be conveyed to Fredericks at closing.
