Ottawa Police Services Board seeking additional public feedback on draft strategic plan

By CityNews Ottawa staff

The Ottawa Police Services Board (OPSB) continues to seek public feedback as it works towards finalizing its strategic plan.

The draft plan, which will guide the priorities of the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) over the next three years, will be presented at a special meeting on Friday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.

The strategic plan was developed in consultation with the OPS and community consultation and data collection processes were used to help narrow down priorities for the years ahead.

The board is now looking to re-engage residents and stakeholders to ensure the draft strategic plan and priorities are reflective of that feedback.

Following Friday’s meeting, the OPS will issue a survey to gather further feedback on the draft plan, prior to it being considered by the OPSB for approval.

The survey will be released in English and French and will be sent out through the OPS social media channels.
