Manual Cinema is an Emmy Award winning performance collective and design studio known for their unique theatrical performances and short films using projected light and shadow. Span created a new visual identity system and website, inspired by the cut paper forms used throughout their productions, just in time for the premiere of their work in Jordan Peele's Candyman.

The geometric typeface ABC Maxi provides special alternate display characters used in the identity to express the quirky character of many of their productions. Paper-cut versions of the logomark were scanned and used as frames for different production stills throughout the website.

The new website is built on Craft CMS, and manages the cinematic presentation of their productions and performance calendar.
