Want to find target keywords for content ideas that'll ACTUALLY match what your ICP is interested in? Try this #SEO tactic: Step 1️⃣: Use Google ✅ Google the questions your customers ask you. Example: "How do you identify your most valuable ICP?" ✅ Google [how to] + the goals your customers say they want to achieve. Example: "How to... increase the visibility of our brand" ✅ Google the tasks they have on their plate. Example: "How to... build an employee advocacy program on LinkedIn" Step 2️⃣: Evaluate the result of the search by doing the following 👉 Ask yourself: Do the resulting articles, videos, and/or People Also Ask questions contextually respond to the question that my ICP has? 👉 Ask yourself: Would our company's unique position and our staff's insight here be helpful to our target audience/current customers? 👉 Ask yourself: Would distributing this information [via social media, e-mail, sales, or customer success interactions] be beneficial? If the answer is yes to these, move on to Step 3. Step 3️⃣: Copy/paste the URLs of articles on page 1 [most similar to how you envision your own content] into Ahrefs / other keyword tools See what keywords these articles rank for in positions 1-10. Step 4️⃣: Rinse and repeat ***Important side note: This will get you started. To increase your likelihood of ranking for these terms you'll want to be sure you're viewed as an authority in these topic spaces. Aka --> think about related questions or information the reader will need to know to best execute the advice you're giving. Then create additional articles so you have a hub of educational articles on one theme/topic. #SEO #contentmarketingtips #ICP

It's amazing how none of your tactics ever talk about backlinks just like many other "SEO experts". I'm tired of seeing posts on backlinks being the backbone of SEO. Thank you for not glorifying backlinks. More power to you.

The real power here is building up a list of templates to seed those initial questions. Getting to those keywords as fast as possible by truly understand the clients problems that they solve. Another banger from Derek Flint. I love this one. Always good to have more strings in the bow of BoFu content.
