Projects

  • latex online

    -

This is a small service developed to compile latex documents online. The slogan is: "You give it a link, it gives you a PDF.", but the service has evolved and thus you can give it a git repo to build as well.

This is an open-source project that could be deployed to your personal server. The thing that differs the project from dozens on the web is that it provides an API to interact with it, so you can use it to compile from Command-Line interface (and there's even a tool for this!)

  • Javascript chess with AI

    -

This is html5 chess with offline AI strong enough to win in a game with average user. The most challenging were deadlines: the work had to be done in a couple of days

The game maintains almost all rules, including:
    - En passant
    - Restriction to castle if the king crosses the beaten cell

The only one not maintained is an abitily to choose a desired piece when the pawn reaches the last row; intead a queen is put on the desk.

  • By Heart

    -

The project was made during Hackday. During the 2-days event, programmers were doing prototypes and presented them in the end of the second day.

Our project was some kind of language cards to effectively store and learn unknown english words. The project was built out of four parts:
    - rest server (my responsobility)
    - web client (Alex Udalov),
    - iOS client (Vania Chalov)
    - Android client (developed by Sergey Vorobyev)
All design was made by Maria Vlasova

ByHeart finally won a prize as the most technically finished project (description, photos and results are available here). But because of such services like WordSteps and LinguaLeo that fully cover ByHeart's functionality its further development was stopped.
