GPS found on Dead Eagle Discovers 20 years Of His Travels

When a young man named Fahd Qash from Jizan region, Saudi Arabia, found a dead eagle on his walk, he didn’t expect that the bird is not just an ordinary eagle.

He discovered a GPS device on the eagle’s body with contact information on it. It turned out that the tracker has been fitted in Russia, about two decades ago. The device showed the movement of the eagle over a period of twenty years. His last destination was in the Valley of the Child in Saudi Arabia.

The powerful bird has traveled many countries over his lifetime, and interestingly, it avoided crossing the sea. You can see in the map that the eagle took the longest route just to stay flying over land. It’s not known why he avoided the sea all his life but all in all, his journey is remarkable.
