I found it interesting to read some of the diaries that Deming kept during his trips to Japan. The book is a bit disjointed--for example there was a chapter written by Deming's secretary that was interesting, but somewhat randomly inserted into the chapters written by Deming himself. The last part of the book is filled with several musical manuscripts written by Deming. All in all, a valuable resource, but it could have used a bit more editing.
