You shouldn't do SEO if... • Your domain authority is low • You're in a crowded content market • Your offerings don't include services most users would search for Instead, build your brand: ✅ Record your team discussing key selling points of your product, or share your thoughts on a topic relatable to your audience ✅ Create key takeaways in a blog post ✅Share clips & the video on LinkedIn ✅ Boost your best social posts Remember: Organic search isn’t for everyone #contentmarketing #seo
One could argue what you've suggested is still SEO. Search engines do pick up content from LinkedIn that they're allowed to index.
Spot on, Josh. All things considered, search engines are a (complex) content distribution channel and, like every other channel, they're not necessarily right for everyone. The same way a brand like Redbull has a significantly larger audience on Instagram compared to LinkedIn and, as such, deprioritizes LinkedIn in their content amplification efforts, you should focus where you're able to make a difference, impact, or engage your audience.
Yes we need to think our website as a brand and we need to promote it through multiple channel
Love this take. The interesting part about this is if well written/created, you also end up getting found on organic search.
I agree with you, Josh. SEO is a demand-capturing and not a demand-generating channel. If there's a demand for your topics and keywords on Google, your chances of driving results through the channel is low.
Agreed with the caveat that you should set your site structure, content, and content creation best practices up for success in the future! If Google can't find a piece of content on your site, a customer sure as heck can't either.
DA ranking is foremost, agreed. Boosting social posts is the best option then. 👌
Solid

1yCompletely agree! I'd also add focus initially on digital PR to build domain authority ✅
