I'm at the airport at Gate 5 and they say it might be 22 instead but could be 5. They suggested we walk half way and wait for an announcement but algorithmically it makes more sense to stay put as if it is 5 we don't have to move at all and if it is 22 we have to walk there. If we go half way we are guaranteed to walk the maximum length. I guess Leetcode does come in handy. The wife's in charge though so we have walked all the way to 22. I'm praying it is 5 now so I can say I told you so.

Code comments are a smell. Something you hear a lot and mostly true. But there are exceptions and scenarios where comments are a good idea and useful. When I was growing up though we never put comments in. Why? Because if we wanted to play a computer game we had to buy a magazine and type in all the game source code by hand. The magazine had code comments but since we don't need these to run the code we didn't type them in as that was extra work! Yes I am that old but also wise and experienced with it!

For all you dudes who use notepad to paste in formatted text so you can copy and paste it again and lose the formatting stop it! Ctrl C Then Ctrl Shift V rather than just Ctrl V You are welcome! (Also stop saying Cut and Paste when you mean Copy and Paste!)

For those of you saying that LeetCode type problems are not what you write in your day to day job, you are mostly right of course. This is because we have so many abstractions and helpers already. 30 years ago when I used to write in C and Pascal we did have to code like this all the time! I am revisiting some of the problems to brush up my skills and enjoying it very much. Anyone else doing them? Hate them? Love them?

Whenever I see a video post on LinkedIn, it plays with the sound disabled by default. I have an overwhelming urge to un mute to see if I guessed what the accent will be. I rarely get it right. Do other people do this?
