Projects

  • MSc Dissertation

    -

My MSc dissertation's full title was "Increasing Immersion Through Believable Game Environments With Multi-Agent Systems". It was about the applicability of multi-agent system techniques, and some novel methods, to create a simulated environment with greater believability and thus immersion. As part of this work I developed a proof-of-concept multi-agent simulation.

  • Graphics Framework

    -

My Graphics Framework is a Java application I wrote in March 2012. It doesn't make use of OpenGL, DirectX or any other libraries or frameworks. All calculations are handled by the processor- learning CUDA was not the aim of the project. The aim of the project was to learn about the low-level, fundamental graphics logic- using Cartesian coordinates, vertices, matrices and transformations to create a simple graphical environment from scratch that manually draws every polygon on the screen.

  • Food safety rating game

    -

In early 2015 I discovered that gov.uk had an API for the Food Safety Rating of every licensed food premise. This gave me a bit of a nutty idea: Develop a game around it. In it you were teleported to a location in Google Maps outside of a food establishment and have to guess the food rating based on the look of the place.

  • Strategy game for Android devices

    -

I developed a turn-based strategy game, an Advanced Wars clone, for Android devices. Mostly for learning, practising and because code is fun. I started designing/prototyping the project in July 2013.

Organizations

  • Open Rights Group

    -

Digital rights are important to me and I follow issues of digital surveillence and censorship closely. Many times I've contacted MPs, MEPs and Shadow Lords about digital rights issues and once hosted a meeting with a local MEP to discuss net neutrality regulation in the EU. In 2014 I attended the Don't Spy On Us conference and ORGCon.
