A communications strategy can help an organisation in so many different ways. I had a meeting with a client yesterday for the final session of the 'Write your own comms strategy' service. The first 2 sessions are where I help the client write and refine their strategy. This final accountability session is all about checking in to see how they've been getting on putting their strategy into practice. I can also answer any questions that have come up. I was delighted to hear that not only has their strategy been useful day-to-day, it's all formed part of the evidence they have submitted to get accreditation with their professional body. Measurement and evaluation play an important role in effective communications, and it is a crucial step for communicators to take to ensure decisions are fueled by evidence.
