STATION SALES
Texas — Karnes City Worship Center has filed a $455,000 deal to buy religious KAML, Kenedy-Karnes City, TX (990) from Gabriel Arango’s Siga Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Kenedy-Karnes City, TX-licensed translator K237GJ at 95.3 FM. The filing says $138,000 in local marketing agreement fees paid between 2021 and 2024 will be credited toward the purchase price. And Siga Broadcasting will also make a $7,000 in-kind donation to the religious broadcaster. Karnes City Worship Center is a partnership between Lee De Los Santos, Lee Junior De Los Santos, Amanda Rangel, and Lorraine De Los Santos. Once the sale closes, Siga will still own AMs in the Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio markets.
North Carolina — Lawrence and Margaret Loesch’s East Carolina Radio has filed a $70,000 deal to buy WCXL, Kill Devil Hills, NC (104.1) and WZPR, Nags Head, NC (92.3) as part of the Jam Media Solutions bankruptcy liquidation. Both stations are currently off the air. WCXL’s license will expire in April 2025 and because it earlier lost its tower site, East Carolina Radio has also asked the FCC for a waiver to its rules to give it time to construct new facilities for the station. East Carolina Radio already owns six FMs and three AMs in the Outer Banks, including country “Dixie 105.7” WRSF, classic hits “102.5 The Shark” WERX, hot AC “96.7 The Coast” WKJX, classic rock “Pirate 95.3” WOBR, adult alternative “98.1 The OBX” WOBX-FM, hip-hop “104.9 The Block” WFMZ, news-talk WCNC (1240), sports “The Score” WOBX (1530), and classic country WZBO (1260). North Dakota — Scott Zimmerman’s Sidestream Media has filed a $40,000 deal to buy classic country “The Range 102.3” KZRN, Hettinger, ND from Jeff Hallen’s HiRange Media Corp. Sidestream Media doesn’t own any other stations. Once the sale closes, HiRange Media will exit ownership. Hallen bought the station for $65,000 in 2018. He also owns an agriculture equipment business in Hettinger.
Kentucky — Kentucky Mountain Bible College has filed to donate the gospel simulcast of WMTC, Vancleve, KY (99.9) and WBFC, Stanton, KY (1470) to the Kentucky Mountain Holiness Association. The donation also includes the Stanton, KY-licensed translator W239DC at 95.7 FM. The College and the Association have long been related, and the donation comes as its leaders have decided the Association — which operates high and elementary schools in the area — is a better fit for the radio stations.
Georgia — Community Public Radio has filed to donate easy listening WNEE, Patterson, GA (88.1) to Clarke Public Radio. Once the transfer closes, Community Public Radio will still own stations in Georgia, Florida and California.
TRANSLATOR SALES
Pennsylvania — Four Rivers Community Broadcasting has filed a $200,000 deal to buy the Lancaster, PA-licensed translator W223CH at 92.5 FM from Forever Media. Four Rivers will air its contemporary Christian “Word FM” format on the signal relayed from WYTL, Reading, PA (91.9). Broker: Griffin Media Brokers
California — Cocola Broadcasting Companies has filed a $25,000 deal to buy the New Auberry, CA-licensed translator K263BH at 100.5 FM from Advanced Ministries. The signal simulcasts variety KFCF, Fresno (88.1).
Indiana — Family First has filed a $15,000 deal to buy the La Porte, IN-licensed translator W295AF at 106.9 FM from Family Stations. The station currently relays “Family Radio” WJCH Chicago. Broker: Robert Branch

Arizona — Yasmin Orozco and Artee Murguia’s Orozco Broadcasting has closed a $2.4 million deal to buy “Oldies 96.5” KIKO-FM, Claypool, AZ from John Low’s1TV.com. In a related deal, Orozco Broadcasting also buys the Laveen, AZ-licensed translator K243BN at 96.5 FM from George Kimble’s Media Sales LLC at no additional cost. The deal includes a $1.575 million promissory note. Since both KIKO-FM and the translator are on the same frequency, the signals will be operated using Gates Air’s SynchroCast3 system. Husband and wife Orozco and Murguia do not own any other stations. Low still owns classic country “1340 The Bull” KIKO, Miami, AZ. Kimble is the majority partner in the group that owns oldies KGVY (1080) in the Tucson market. Broker: George Kimble
Hawaii — Akamai Broadcasting has closed an $800,000 deal to buy six stations on Maui, including CHR “94-X” KDLX, Makawao, HI; classic rock “Star 95.1” KAOI-FM, Wailuku, HI; ethnic “Q-103.9” KNUQ, Paauilo, HI; classic hits “Buzz 107.5” KHEI, Kihei, HI; talk KAOI, Kihei, HI (1110); and ethnic KEWE, Kahului, HI (1240) from Visionary Related Entertainment. The deal also includes six FM translators, including the Paia, HI-licensed K277AX at 103.3 FM; the Kihei, HI-licensed K250CC at 97.9 FM; the Napilli, HI-licensed K277AW at 103.3 FM; the Kihei, HI-licensed K254CS at 98.7 FM; the Honokowa, HI-licensed K249EH at 97.7 FM; and the Maui, HI-licensed K244AG at 96.7 FM. Akamai Broadcasting’s owners include Sherman Kizart (40%), Larry Fuss (35%), Shannon Cummings (10%), Kyle Laferty (10%) and Kirk Harnack (5%). Illinois — Todd Stapleton’s I70 Media has closed an $800,000 deal to buy classic hits “107.1 The Kurve” WKRV and AC WPMB (1500) in Vandalia, IL from Bud Walters’ Cromwell Group. The deal also includes the Greenville, IL-licensed translator W274CE at 102.7 FM and the Vandalia, IL-licensed W284BI at 104.7 FM, both of which simulcast WPMB. Stapleton does not own any other stations. Cromwell Group still owns ten stations in Illinois.
Iowa — Coloff Media has closed a $400,000 deal to buy soft AC “Stereo 95.1” KMAQ-FM and country KMAQ (1320) in Maquoketa, IA (1320) from Dennis Voy’s Maquoketa Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Bellevue, IA-licensed translator at K223DA at 92.5 FM, which simulcasts the AM. Jim Coloff owns 10 other Iowa stations. Adult hits “Mix 94.7” KMCH, Manchester, IA is the closest, but none overlaps with the Maquoketa combo. Voy has owned KMAQ-AM since it signed on in 1958, and with the sale he retires after more than six decades in radio.
New Orleans — Dan and Debbie Teachworth’s Focal Point Media Group has closed a $130,000 deal to buy religious “Sonshine 800” WSHO from Bill Ainsworth’s Shadowlands Communications. Under the terms of the deal, Ainsworth has agreed to remain the general manager of WSHO for up to six months without taking any salary.
Indiana — Marion Williams has closed a $25,000 deal to buy talk WLTH, Gary, IN (1370) from Pluria Marshall. The deal also includes the Gary, IN-licensed translator W224EA at 92.7 FM. Williams already owns “Oldies 1500” WAKE, Valparaiso, IN.
