Flying on Singapore Airlines this winter? Stay connected for free, at least for part of the flight. The carrier upped its free WiFi offering to include two hours for everyone on board for the next few months.
The complimentary two hours includes both web browsing and messaging. The offer is valid through 31 March 2022.
Under normal times members of the company’s KrisFlyer loyalty program get access to the free messaging plan for two hours. Top elites or business class passengers get 100MB free (yes, megabyte consumption based pricing packages still suck for consumers).
The promotion does not seem to come with those data caps, and adds full web browsing to the mix.
With an increase in lockdowns and pause in new approvals for verified travel lane tickets it is unlikely that too many travelers will ultimately be able to take advantage of this benefit. But for the few who are flying it is a nice bit of free wifi access on board.
