Looking to add the newest air-to-ground connectivity solution to our Gulfstream jet? SmartSky‘s new partnership with Western Jet Aviation can help you out. Under a newly signed distribution agreement Western Jet will stock the SmartSky equipment at its California location, allowing for quick and easy installations.
Our core values commit us to continually seek innovative, leading-edge solutions that create a level of service that is extraordinary and inspires our clients. With innovative hardware and unmatched network performance, SmartSky’s enhanced connectivity service will help us meet that commitment and delight our customers.
– Jim Hansen, CEO and Founder of Western Jet Aviation
Existing STCs for Gulfstream aircraft allow for installation of the antenna and radio systems on board to support SmartSky’s high-speed in-flight WiFi on board.
Aria Bahawdory, Director of MRO Account Management for SmartSky Networks, sees the new partnership as a strong opportunity for both parties, along with aircraft owners. “Western Jet Aviation’s expertise with Gulfstream aircraft, coupled with available STCs and full CONUS coverage for flight hours next quarter, will provide Gulfstream owners and operators with an inflight connectivity solution that meets the needs of cabin, crew, and operators alike.”
The new partnership comes on the heels of a similar deal with Global Aviation Technologies, announced last month, and joins other installation and support partners for SmartSky. With a service delivery approach based on partners rather than direct relationships, these deals are critical for getting gear on to planes and bringing the SmartSky network to its full potential.
SmartSky officially announced availability of its in-flight internet service in October 2021.
